Andy and Eryn, a Seville Golf and Country Club Wedding – Gilbert, AZ

In photography, shooting in broad daylight isn’t something that comes naturally, unless you’re part of the x-men family. A few years of practice, can I get initiated?

When it comes to shooting in the day time, there’s a few key notes to consider – and no, one is not placing your subjects directly at the sun, in contrary to what people think. It’s a good combination of skill, knowing where to place your subjects (back towards the sun), and locating some good shading.

The first weekend of April, you’re guaranteed to hit forecast jackpot in AZ. The brunch style wedding was celebrated at Seville Golf and Country Club in Gilbert, AZ with a reception not lasting past 3pm. Andy and Eryn had a guest count that would be about 35 people and when they had told me that at their consult, I low-key preached under my breath. Amen to those small weddings because there’s always something extra special about them. Somehow, you almost find yourself sitting at the guest table because that’s just how intimate it gets. The stunning floral set ups came from the popular Arizona wedding florist Blume Events and you’ll see what an incredible job they did when it comes to the ceremony arch. I almost asked if anyone was taking it home.

After a first-look between the bride and groom, Eryn was traditionally walked down by her father and tears were naturally shed during the ceremony. During reception, the guests were asked to stand and give a small speech about the bride and groom. I felt like I should raise my hand and say one too.

Last call photo’s were left with everyone on the dance floor, drinks in hand, with laughs left from a good time of celebrating two people that couldn’t have complimented each other more. I was also left with memories from an incredible wedding but people I can call friends, which ultimately, is the greatest reward in the business.
